Dr. Luc Itterbeek is an experienced sports physician who supports both elite athletes and recreational sports enthusiasts.
His approach is holistic, with a strong focus on injury prevention.
He also treats patients with musculoskeletal conditions, regardless of their level of physical activity.
Trained in sports medicine at K.U. Leuven, dr. Luc Itterbeek combines scientific expertise with practical experience. For over 10 years, he has supported athletes at the elite sports laboratory of the VUB (BLITS).
He is the team doctor for Belgium's national men's volleyball team, the Red Dragons, oversees the medical follow-up at the Top Sports School Volleyball in Vilvoorde, and supports elite BE GOLD players of the Royal Belgian Hockey Federation (KBHB) as well as the national youth volleyball teams.
He is also a member of the Team Belgium (BOIC) medical staff, contributing to the medical supervision of Belgian athletes at the international level.
Regionally, dr. Itterbeek collaborates with various sports clubs, including BCAT (basketball Asse-Ternat), BCGD (basketball Groot-Dilbeek), VC GD (football Groot-Dilbeek), Davoc Lot (volleyball), and the H30 triathlon club.
Additionally, dr. Itterbeek is a freelance lecturer in MSK ultrasound at Sonoskills, teaching physicians and physiotherapists.
