At Sportlabo, you can undergo a sports medical fitness examination as well as diving medical examinations.
A sports medical fitness examination is a basic assessment for athletes who want to check their health before starting a new sport or training program.
- Medical screening: consultation, measurements (weight, blood pressure), and examination of the heart and lungs
- Functional analysis: evaluation of physical capacity and potential injury risk factors
- Resting ECG: standard from age 14 to detect possible heart conditions early
- Sports medical exemptions: medical certificates for sports participation under specific health conditions
- Personalized advice: recommendations based on the results
This examination is mandatory for certain sports federations. Please complete the online questionnaire in advance at sportkeuring.be.
Available at Sportlabo Beersel & Groot-Bijgaarden.
A sports medical fitness examination with ECG is a more in-depth assessment for athletes who train intensively and want a precise evaluation of their heart health during exercise.
- Comprehensive medical screening: same as the basic examination
- Exercise Electrocardiogram (ECG): detects heart rhythm disorders or other cardiac issues not visible at rest
- Recommended from age 35: especially for those engaging in intense sports or resuming training after a long break
- Mandatory for some sports federations
